8th Annual home tour of ritzy Dallas neighborhood Turtle Creek to take place on May 4
The Turtle Creek Association (TCA) is hosting its 8th Annual Turtle Creek Home Tour, to take place on May 4 from 1 to 5 p.m., when the doors to four high-rises and one townhome, all in Turtle Creek, will be open to the unwashed public.
"The Turtle Creek Home Tour is a rare and exciting opportunity for an insider's view of several stunning private residences and the intriguing lifestyles of their residents," said Sarah Lamensdorf, chairman of the 2008 tour. "This tour is one of the most important fundraisers in support of the visionary master plan developed by TCA, as well as the association's ongoing initiatives to preserve, protect and enhance parks, creeks, landscaping and infrastructure in this naturally beautiful area."
The five private residences are located in the following four high-rise buildings and one townhome: The Plaza I, The Goldcrest, 3525, The Vendome, and Place des Vosges.
Also available are a limited number of tickets to an intimate reception from 5 to 7 p.m. at the penthouse residence owned by Virgil Barber at the Residences at Ritz-Carlton, Dallas, with hors d'oeuvres from Fearing's. Reception tickets are $100. Tickets must be purchased in advance by check and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tour participants will also get refreshments on the property of 3000 Turtle Creek Boulevard, A Classic Residence by Hyatt. This $200-million development will be the new home to as many as 500 residents in the neighborhood. Seven acres of development will include 273 residences, 4 restaurants, cocktail lounge, indoor heated pool, exercise room, beauty salon, library, art gallery, spa and exercise room, green walking decks, and health care.
Tickets for the home tour are $50 for non-TCA members and $40 for TCA members. Tickets may be purchased the day of the tour at TCA's check-in booth at 2911 Turtle Creek Boulevard, and in the high-rise lobbies of each of the homes on the tour, or in advance by visiting the Web site before April 15 and requesting a mailed invitation. You may be added to the invitation list by emailing info@turtlecreekassociation.org.
Parking will be available at 2911 Turtle Creek Boulevard, courtesy of Plains Capital Bank. Buses will shuttle tour guests to all of the homes on the tour.
