Addison to hear discussions on hotel expansion and the National Flood Insurance Program
Flood insurance is pretty important, although this is usually only realized in hindsight. Especially if you live in a landlocked city.
The Addison City Council Meeting will start, as usual, with a working session starting at 6:00 pm with a proposal from John Stainback about possibly expanding existing hotels in Addsion. They will also discuss the National Flood Insurance Program. Items on the regular meeting agenda (which starts at 7:30) include:
- Approving a contract with Convergint Technologies to purchase and install a Wireless Mesh network at Addison Circle Park.
- Multiple construction approvals, one to repair and overlay Sakowitz Drive and repairs on Adison road, and another to go into contract with Icon Consulting Engineers concerning the early phases of construction for Brokkhaven Club Drive, Street "B" and Vitruvian Park.
- Consideration and approval for the Addison Fire Department to submit a grant application to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.
