Early results point to Cannaday as Republican nominee for Dallas County Sheriff’s race
Lowell Cannaday, 70, took an early lead of 87% in today's runoff election against Jim Bowles. Such convincing early results likely mean that Cannaday, the former Irving police chief, will win the Republican nomination to face off against incumbent Dallas County Sheriff Lupe Valdez.
