Primary runoff elections take place today
Among the higher profile runoffs is the Republican race for Dallas County Sheriff. Jim Bowles, former longtime sheriff, faces off against Lowell Cannaday, former Irving police chief, to decide who faces the incumbent Dallas County Sheriff Lupe Valdez. Democrats Eric Robertson and Steve Love runoff to face Republican incumbent Pete Sessions for the 32nd District of Texas congressional seat.
