Carroll School Board calls emergency meeting regarding overnight damages to Dawnson Middle School
Dawson Middle School in the Carroll ISD sustained significant damage from an "unconfirmed tornado/straight winds" in the early morning of April 10. An emergency school board meeting has been called for 1 p.m. today to consider giving the administration the go-ahead to make emergency repairs to the building. At the moment, gas has been turned off at the campus to ensure that students remain safe. Most of the damage involved the school's athletic facilities, lighting, and roofing.
More information including damage estimates should be available following the meeting.
