3rd Annual Global Sacred Music Celebration set for Sunday
Sacred music is the vehicle for spiritual awakening in many world cultures, touching us all with a sense of peace, hope and connection with the Divine. For the third consecutive year, the DFW International Community Alliance will present the Global Sacred Music Celebration at the Unity Church of Dallas in North Dallas on Sunday, April 13. The concert will begin at 4:00 p.m. and will be followed by a reception. Tickets are $5, children 10 and under free.
A dozen faiths and traditions will be represented in the Global Sacred Music Celebration. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the church’s bookstore or at dfwinternational.org/Sacred, and will also be available at the door. Light refreshments will be served after the concert.
Rev. Ed Townley, Associate Minister at the Unity Church, says "The Global Sacred Music Concert has been a joyful, heartfelt affirmation of the universal spiritual principles that unite us as a people – and that are far more important than any issues of faith that may separate us into conflicting factions. Each year the need for such an affirmation becomes more urgent. Unity Church is again proud to join with the DFW International Community Alliance to celebrate the spiritual power of music, as it expresses through the many faiths and cultures of North Texas."
