Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth will lead a delegation to DC to see Pope

— Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth Bishop Kevin Vann will lead a delegation of Fort Worth-area Catholics to Washington to see Pope Benedict XVI. Another delegation will attend the Papal Mass in Yankee Stadium on Sunday, April 20.

Bishop Vann and other U.S. Catholic Bishops will join the Pope for Vespers Services—evening prayers—followed by an address by the Pope to the Bishops. This event is taking place from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, the largest Roman Catholic Church in America.

At 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17, Bishop Vann, Vicar General Michael Olson, and Fathers Stephen Jasso, Jonathan Wallis, Raymond McDaniel, Tom Kennedy and Dan Kelly will con-celebrate Mass with Pope Benedict in Washington Nationals Park. Thirty-two members of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth will also attend the Mass.

During the pre-Mass ceremonies, a special Fort Worth-flavor 1 minute, 13 second video will pay on the Nationals Park jumbotron welcoming Pope Benedict to the U.S. The video will be available at the same time on the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth web site www.fwdioc.org.

At 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth School Superintendent Don Miller will join approximately 300 of his counterparts from around the country and Catholic university presidents to hear an address from Pope Benedict regarding Catholic education. This session is at The Catholic University of America in Washington.

A 40-member delegation of Catholics from the Fort Worth area will attend the Pope’s final event, 2 p.m., Sunday, April 20 Mass in New York’s Yankee Stadium.

"...Catholic university presidents to hear an address from Pope Benedict regarding Catholic education."

Yes, Catholic schools must be acquainted with the latest ways the Vatican has come up with to hide and cover up all that organized pedophilia. The Pope is certainly experienced in such matters.

If the polygamist sects had been Catholic, they'd still be operating with impunity. Amen.

Not to mention, we have to teach our kids how not to use contraception! If the Church doesn't teach them how to have unsafe sex, who will?
