BURLESON An undisclosed amount of money was taken from a safe and cash register at Wendy’s restaurant in Burleson Town Center early Tuesday morning. A male employee of the restaurant walked outside to dispose of trash. A suspect, described only as a black male, reportedly put a gun to the employee’s head as the employee was walking back toward the restaurant. Once inside the restaurant, the suspect ordered a female employee to open a safe. The suspect also took money from a cash register, then fled out the back door.
Fort Worth police officers and Fort Worth Air One helicopter assisted Burleson officers and detectives in a search of the area but the suspect was not found.
