Allen McGill pleads guilty in Dallas City Hall corruption scandal
He pleaded guilty to extortion.
Allen J. McGill, 64, of Dallas, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit extortion as part of the investigation into corruption at Dallas City Hall. The former president and vice chairman of the Black State Employees Association of Texas, McGill is one of 16 people, including state Rep. Terri Hodge, former Mayor Pro Tem Don Hill, and real-estate developer Brian Potashnik, who were charged for bribery and extortion within Dallas City Hall, and the first to plead guilty.
