On April 17th at 7 p.m., Eastfield Community College is hosting a forum for candidates running for City Council in districts 1, 2, 4 and 5. Dr. Carol Brown, president of Eastfield College, will moderate the forum.
Garland City Council Candidate forum
- When: Thursday, April 17, 2008, 7:30 p.m.
- Where: Garland City Hall, 200 North 5th Street, Garland
- Cost: Free
- Age limit: All ages
Though hosted by the university, the forum will actually be held in the Council Chamber of Garland City Hall, 200 N Fifth Street. It will also be broadcast live on CGTV, the City’s government access cable channel (CGTV is available on Time Warner Cable channel 16 and on Verizon FIOS TV channel 44).
All Garland citizens are invited to attend, but the deadline to submit questions to the candidates came and went on April 11. So just shut up and let democracy flow over and encompass you.
