Frisco Thunder quarterback Wes Cooper has been named the offensive player of the week by the IndoorFootballFan.com (IFF) web site.

Cooper threw seven touchdown passes in Sunday's 72-31 victory over the Corpus Christi Hammerheads, his former team.

IFF lists Cooper as the leading passer among the eight leagues it covers with an average of 256.7 yards per game. He also leads the nation with 45 touchdown passes and is second in touchdowns per game with an average of 6.3

He was the Intense Football League's offensive player of the week after the season opening victory over the San Angelo Stampede where he threw for a career-high nine touchdowns, matching a team record.

Cooper's the first Thunder player to be recognized by IFF this season.
