Wind / rain / hail / lightning / armageddon event hitting DFW Thursday night
A really impressive Spring storm is converging on us from the West, with hail and near-tornado winds in Parker County as of dinnertime. Tonight's events at Fort Worth's Main St. Arts Festival are cancelled, and it looks like we're all about to get a beating.
Since we're only geared up for an "Accu-Window" forecast, check elsewhere for the blow-by-blow coverage. We're all about the Intertubes, but this stuff was just made for TV. We'll be back at you in the morning with the aftermath, presuming there's electricity. Otherwise, we'll be sharpening sticks and preparing for the inevitable looting and cannibalism.
UPDATE: A CBS 11 Storm Spotter reports a tornado in Aledo.
If you've got tales from the front, share them in the comments below.

Not much action in central Meadowbrook. We got some fairly heavy rain and light hail that was smaller than a pea. The thunder upset my dogs, but the ensuing puddle our neurotic bulldog left in the floor was the extent of the flooding. All in all, we dodged the bullet over here.

Glad to hear the weather was mild, momzilla. And you're not alone -- we just had some canine flooding in our parts too.

North Dallas near the high-five didn't see much. Had some small hail, but nothing to be worried about. Pretty mild actually, aside from some high gusting winds.
Doyle just hopes there's a steady rain until he falls asleep. Love me some open windows when it's raining. Mmmmmmmmmm

Can't blame the dogs, Mike. The t.v. news coverage practically had me suffering an incontinence incident as the storm approached. Sheesh.

Preparing to survey the overnight reportage on damage across the metromess, but here in Old Lake Highland all's well.

I actually got caught up in the computer projections of 2" hail in clouds over University Park and went out to cover Sweetie's car with blankets, weighing them down with bags of potting soil. Naturally (and thankfully), no hail here.

On to the city desk...
