New Arts Magnet building opens Monday
Students of the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (BTWHSPVA), aka the "Arts Magnet," start classes in their brand-spankin'-new school Monday, Apr. 21. This puts the students back into the heart of the Dallas Arts District for the last 6 weeks of the school year. The school underwent a $33.3 million renovation and expansion to address their overcrowding issues.
