New book finds that Dallas is one big sausage party

According to a Dr. Richard Florida's new book, Who's Your City, there are 46,300 more single men in Dallas than there are single women. This begs the question: Why? Dr. Florida told WFAA that, to his knowledge, men are more likely to be "opportunity driven" and will gravitate towards places on their way up and where jobs are being created. Women are more likely to stick to areas where their families live.
So what does this mean for the smaller supply of single women in Dallas? A lot of this:

This information doesn't mean anything for the woman of Dallas because a good portion of the Dallas male population is gay.
Ya know it's not necessarily a "straight" thang.

LLM, context of the WFAA article implies they're single straight guys. Even if that's not contemplated, surely the lesbian vs. gay singles would even out the surplus (doubt there'd be more than a 5% swing - or 2,315 to either side of the 46,300).
I'm relatively interested in what age groups are dating outside their group...b/c if there's a lot of dudes in their 30's & 40's grabbing up the 20-something ladies, I'm going to stab someone.

You've left out that the guys only want the trophy blonds - regardless of how THEY themselves look.
You must be a 20-something, drop-dead gorgeous, thin to the point of anorexia, and willing to drop everything to be there when they snap their fingers.
