New book finds that Dallas is one big sausage party

There are 46,300 more single men than women in this area, and yet the Rangers still can't get people to their games.

According to a Dr. Richard Florida's new book, Who's Your City, there are 46,300 more single men in Dallas than there are single women. This begs the question: Why? Dr. Florida told WFAA that, to his knowledge, men are more likely to be "opportunity driven" and will gravitate towards places on their way up and where jobs are being created. Women are more likely to stick to areas where their families live.

LLM, context of the WFAA article implies they're single straight guys. Even if that's not contemplated, surely the lesbian vs. gay singles would even out the surplus (doubt there'd be more than a 5% swing - or 2,315 to either side of the 46,300).

I'm relatively interested in what age groups are dating outside their group...b/c if there's a lot of dudes in their 30's & 40's grabbing up the 20-something ladies, I'm going to stab someone.
