The new Sheraton sign shines so brightly we had two photos come through of the dang thing. I think they sent Dallas the wrong sign and somewhere in Tokyo there is a Sheraton sign that just doesn't compete. We also have some great pics of Son Volt playing at the Main Street Arts Festival and a few musings from Scarborough Fair, including a new word coined by steevithak ("Renagoth"). I also posted my experience with the Kiwano fruit. All photos have been submitted via our Flickr Group.

My boyfriend and I tried the very beautiful looking Kiwano fruit the other day. A little advice: don't do it. I know it looks pretty in the supermarket and it's got little horns on it, but leave it be. It's like this alien fruit full of little ecto-cooler green sacs that squirt all over the place and aren't very tasty. It's kind of like a mix between a pomegranate and a kiwi, but it's almost inedible. By Flickr user Pegalaursrex.

That's hilarious - I tried a kiwano sometime in October for the same reasons: looks pretty and weird, was feeling adventurous. It tasted much like citrus but mainly like regret.

Yeah, the last time I saw that fruit it was coming out of John Hurt's chest.
