Outside auditor finds incompetency in Dallas ISD’s financial management skills
An auditor from Deloitte and Touche presented a preliminary report on Wednesday to school board trustees and the superintendent stating that Dallas ISD doesn't do a good job of accounting for its spending.
The auditor described procedures as "either absent, ineffective or inconsistently applied", according to the DMN. But the trustees were only glad to hear that at least there isn't someone stealing or embezzling. So yay, they're not crooks -- just incompetent screw-ups.
