Sam’s and Costco placed limits on rice purchases Wednesday

Email Print Tell us your story Comment (1)

After global food prices have been hitting record highs, Sam's and Costco have both limited the amount of rice a customer can purchase. The decision to limit purchase of rice, however, has more to do with small business owners (ie: restaurants) stockpiling rice than any actual food shortages. (The cost is higher folks, but we're not running out of rice at the moment.) The limit only effects 20 pound bags, of which customers are allowed 4.
