Sea Beans (Salicornia)

There was a hail storm in Baja so very mean

It left nary a Sea Bean to Be Seen...

Without its succulent salt marsh flesh

Bruised or pummeled to a mushy mesh

But today I got a call from South of California

Saying that the salt grass known as Salicornia

Was getting ready to cross the border

So by Friday... I can fill your latent order

ORDER UP!

Sea Beans ala mode or crispy fried

Sea Beans simple, like... on the side

Sea Beans plain and salty in a bowl

Sea Beans Spicy "FIRE IN THE HOLE" !

Let Salicornia not be misunderstood...

But what ever ya call 'em...call 'em good.

The F-M Bureau Report, this just in:

Rehoboth Ranch near Greenville is looking to move a couple hundred dozen Country, Free Range Chicken Eggs every week...any interest? Please reply so I can hook you up directly and/or keep some at the F-M 1410 for you.

I've been getting asked and answer so many gardening questions lately that I'm beginning to believe I can actually garden, but what I do is very different -- though, I guess, it isn't other than I don't have that much experience growing in mostly shaded areas. Growing out in the bald, necked sun is what I'm used to. The only shade I know is under a sombrero. And, I'm often asked questions that seem metaphorical to me, like one man asked me the other day "What do I do, Spiceman, I have nutsedge in my patunia patch"? For which I replied "I think you should consult a surgeon" but first... decide which of them you want to keep.

Thank You
