Itching to go out? Come to Ghostbar on Tuesday, May 6 when DJ Jazzy Jeff will be doing what he does best – scratchin’ it! DJ Jazzy Jeff is one of the best scratch and turntable artists to grace the music industry. Most 30-somethings and up know him as half of DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince (alongside Will Smith) from the 80’s and their Grammy hit Parents Just Don’t Understand.
He is widely regarded as the inventor of the ‘transformer’ scratch and the ‘chirp’ scratch which can be found on his The Magnificent album and Getting Jiggy Wit It. In addition, Jeff is renowned as the first corporately sponsored DJ/Celebrity and designer of the first mixer to be made specifically for the scratch DJ, the modern classic – the Gemini 2200 – or Jazzy Jeff Series.
