UPDATED: Fort Worth police officer shoots man at crime scene

Here's the scenario: Fort Worth police officer responds to the scene of a fatal shooting Thursday night (April 24) in the 4000 block of Comanche Street; upon approach, he spots a man in a sport ute driving away. Said individual changes course and drives toward the officer, who by this time has left his patrol car, and who proceeds to shoot the guy driving toward him - in the leg, it says here.
(I'm guessing the officer either shot through the door of the SUV, or the guy had his leg hanging out the window.)
Investigators are questioning both the wounded man and the officer.
UPDATE: this far more detailed account explains how the shooting occurred, and provides additional information about the shooting to which the officer was responding when he fired at the SUV driver.
