Two ATM robbery attempts in Oak Cliff; one successful, one not so much

It's been a little while since we've had some quality crash and grab stories come through. Oak Cliff had two over the course of one and a half days.

On Monday, thieves managed to get away with an ATM at an Exxon station in the OC. Early Tuesday morning, however, another set of thieves weren't as successful. They backed a pickup truck into the Exxon On The Run convenience store at Zang Boulevard and Illinois Avenue. When their plan to chain the ATM and steal it didn't work, however, they fled the scene. Some of the evidence they left behind included the truck.

Wouldn't you be able to get away much faster if you, say, drove an automobile out of there?
