Mesquite mom fatally shot, two children injured in their home Wednesday morning
The shooting occurred at 6:30 a.m.
MESQUITE Mesquite police responding to reports of gunshots near the 1600 block of Sam Houston Road at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday found a mother who'd been fatally shot and two children, a boy, 11, and a girl, 7, who were injured. A family friend said she'd been called by the woman’s husband who said he had shot his family.
