August 7 issue of Rolling Stone magazine filled with Dallas, Texas references
The August 7 issue of Rolling Stone -- the one with the Jonas Brothers on the cover -- has so many references to Dallas, it could be called The Dallas Issue:
- Page 28: Profile of Metro Station, the band led by Miley Cyrus brother Trace Cyrus, has quotes from singer Mason Musso. Who's from DALLAS.
- Page 70: Cover story on the Jonas Brothers quotes attendees at their July 9 performance at Superpages.com. In DALLAS. ("At a Jonas Brothers concert in Dallas, I meet a 17-year-old girl named Lauren who hosted a red-carpet premiere party at her house for the brothers' recent Disney Channel movie, Camp Rock." ....)
- Page 74: The Jonas Brothers' parents lived in DALLAS previously, having first met at the Christ for the Nations Bible college. ("Kevin Sr. was the hot musician on campus." ...)
- Page 100: "The Jonas clan now lives in Los Angeles and just closed on a new spread in DALLAS, not far from a posh country club."
- Page 101: Demi Lovato, the 15-year-old co-star in Camp Rock who is also on tour with the Jonas Brothers, is an "auburn-haired spitfire from DALLAS." She "comes off ... like a preternatural Pat Benatar."
- Page 18: Not from Dallas but still from Texas is Austin artist Alejandro Escovedo who is fatuously profiled by David Fricke and who, surely not coincidentally, just became a client of Jon Landau and Barbara Carr, the management team that manages Bruce Springsteen.

Joel Woiton, says:
You built us up with RS references about Dallas, then you let us down when most of those reportings were about teeny bopper bands.
Is this what the Dallas music scene is coming to?
