Hurst thieves leave victims without a leg to stand bench to sit on
It's that time again. The Hurst Police Department has released its weekly Crime Updates for both businesses and residences within the city. The following crimes were reported between Sunday July 27 and Saturday August 2nd:
Several rolls of copper wire were stolen from an electrical business at 100 S Norwood Drive at 6:30 on Monday morning. In this case, the thief didn't die.
At 5:39 a.m. on Wednesday, someone once again siphoned gas from church vans parked at 700 W Hurst Boulevard. Suspect: White Male, 35-40 yoa, 6’01” – 6’02”, 225 lbs. Suspect Vehicle: Black 1997 Chevrolet Z71 pickup.
An unknown thief committed the unthinkable sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning at a home near 1100 Forest Oaks Lane. That is, he stole the home's bench from the front porch.
And a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban, parked at 500 Precinct Line Road, was vandalized sometime between 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 10 a.m. on Wednesday. The suspect went the extra mile, keying obscenities instead of less meangingful scratches.

You'd think that if you're going to steal, you'd at least steal from secular sources. No need to break laws both earthly and celestial in one blow!

In my opinion, that's the only tolerable point about the crime.
