UPDATED: Dallas Democratic Party to celebrate 100th birthday of (dead) L.B.J. at Cafe Rembrandt
Updated 12:04 p.m., August 15, 2008
Two clarifications. Yes, LBJ is dead. Second, he was actually born August 27th, but the Dallas Dems are doing the best they can, man.
On Thursday, August 21st, the Dallas County Democratic Party will celebrate the 100th birthday of former Texas Senator and U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson.
The shindig, billed under the name "Celebrating Lyndon B. Johnson, Texas’ Last Great President," will be held at 6 p.m. in the Brewery Building at Dallas' Cafe Rembrandt (703 McKinney Avenue), 'cause LBJ loved him some Dutch food(?).
Tickets are $50. Seating is limited so RSVP today. For more info, viist dallasdemocrats.org.
UPDATE: Word has come today that attendees will now receive a free BARACK OBAMA bumpersticker with admission. Who says $50 can't go a long way?

A bumper sticker? Throw in a lawn sign and a collection of <a href="http://johnkstuff.blogspot.com/2008/08/buy-candidate-toys-at-amazon.html">these political action figures</a> and I'm there.
