Flix: Richardson's David Gordon Green directed Pineapple Express, which opened Wednesday — as did Bottle Shock and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (because Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants left so many unanswered questions). The Asian Film Festival released its full schedule. Coming up on Friday you can read all about new openers Hell Ride, Man on Wire and Baghead, including an audio interview with the filmmaking Duplass Brothers (who really admire another producing/directing brother act, it turns out.) Check the Movies tab. And then there's Boy A, a gripping and very stylish British psychodrama about a young man who's spent most of his childhood in prison for a crime that will accompany him into mainstream society like a weighty invisible albatross. Psycho film guy John promises to have his review of this one posted by Friday afternoon.
