DISD removes controversial signs from Booker T. Washington High School
Members of the public were reportedly "outraged" by the "confusing" signs.
Dallas Independent School District officials have authorized the removal of all signs from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts after some members of the public reportedly expressed confusion and outrage at their posting.
The signs in question were posted on the new wing of the school and included the designation "Hamon Arts Magnet" under the Booker T. Washington name. Apparently the confusion and outrage stemmed from the fact that some people thought the name of the school was going to be changed.
