Dismissal of Ex-DPD Chief Bolton’s wrongful termination suit held to be valid
A federal appeals court has upheld an earlier district court decision to throw out the suit.
According to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, the City of Dallas cannot be held liable for the firing (wrongful or otherwise) of Terrell Bolton, the current police chief of DeKalb Cty., GA, after an tenure in Dallas during which controversies roiled in relation to hiring practices and a fake drug scandal.
