Duncanville sex club attorneys lose bid to have evidence suppressed
Judge in the case is waiting for charges to actually be filed. (Tough to rule without 'em.)
Kent Traylor, the municipal court judge overseeing the pending case against the owners of Duncanville's infamous Cherry Pit sex club, has said he can't supress evidence (as requested by the defendants' attorneys) until charges have actually been filed. Which they haven't. Yet.
As you may recall, the neighborhood let-it-all-hangout was raided by police on July 19 (and again - this time by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission - on July 23, because - um - they forgot to put alcohol on the initial search warrant).
Money laundering is one of the possible pending charges. As are prostitution and illegal possession of vast quantities of booze. But - as stated - "Duncanville detectives continue investigating," and so actual charges are on hold.
