Akard Station to close platforms on alternate weekends during August

Additional renovation at Akard Station will require the closing of northbound and southbound platforms on alternate weekends during August.
The northbound platform (Red and Blue lines to Parker Road and Downtown Garland) will not be in operation Saturday and Sunday, August 16-17, and the southbound platform (Red and Blue lines to Westmoreland Ledbetter) will not be in operation Saturday and Sunday, August 23-24.
Passengers whose normal boarding or destination are at Akard Station will be asked to use St. Paul or West End stations on these designated weekends.
There will be no bus shuttles provided between stations on these days.
We apologize for the temporary inconvenience.
