Dallas Cowboys 17, San Diego Chargers 31 (Preseason)
The Dallas Cowboys would score the first touchdown of the evening, but the Chargers, sans LaDainian Tomlinson and Antonio Gates, would take advantage of a lackluster Cowboys defensive effort for the decisive win.
Towards the middle of the first quarter, Tony Romo led an 8-play, 54-yard drive, finished by a two-yard touchdown from Fullback Deon Anderson. Romo would finish the night 3-for-3 passing with 33 yards. But the high of the 7-0 lead would be short-lived as Danny Amendola fumbled giving the Chargers the opportunity to tie it up five plays later. A slew of Cowboys mistakes would follow, setting the pace for the rest of the game. Two pass interference calls in the first half of play twice put the Chargers within five yards of scoring.
San Diego's Jacob Hester scored two touchdowns on the night, with 13 carries for 49 yards. Rookie first-round pick Felix Jones had six carries for 32 yards. The Cowboys' Adam "Pacman" Jones was fairly miserable on the night, among other things, picking up a pass interference call that negated a Patrick Watkins interception.
