Texas Motion Picture Alliance plans live webcast of their Las Colinas-based North Texas regional meeting
The film lobby's legislative agenda will be discussed, and you can watch the action in your bathrobe. (Or whatever.)
If you're interested in hearing about the state legislative measures proposed by the Texas Motion Picture Alliance (TXMPA) - which succeeded in husbanding the passage of a state filmmaker incentive package through the state legislature last year - then on Sat., Aug. 23 you'll have your chance.
Whether you decide to attend the meeting in person (at The Studios at Las Colinas) or just tune in from the comfort of your cushy Naugahyde swivel office chair (or equivalent), you'll be able to hear what new TXMPA president Don Stokes has to say about their plans for expanding filmmaker incentives through tax breaks and other preferential financial treatment of producers interested in filming in the Lone Star State.
Imagine crawling out of bed that Saturday, brewing up a mug of steaming joe and kicking back in your bathrobe - totally ungroomed and perhaps even without applying deodorant - before directing your web browser here and clicking on the "attend live webcast" link. (You might want to disable your webcam first, but whatever.)

Sounds like Peri Gilpin to me, jtmbls. Would make sense since she was born in Waco and grew up in Dallas.
