UPDATED: Alleged child molester strips nude, gets tased by Arlington police
Arlington police sure are making good use of their tasers this week: A day after tasing and shooting a guy who attacked an officer, police tased a nude Troy Lee Smith III after he allegedly groped a 4-year-old boy in Vandergriff Park and then stripped down in front of the boy and his parents. Smith is a registered sex offender.
UPDATE: Arlington police released the mug shot of Mr. Smith.

I'm pretty sure that's physiologically impossible. But A+ for biblical thinking.

The offender is obviously mentally disturbed. I wonder what triggered the use of a taser by multiple officers.
I'm sure many would applaud this news but I find the taser has become a police toy. They seem bent to find any opportunity to stun someone being arrested. I think this is out of control.

I take this as snowboard9 volunteering to detain horny crazies running around naked?

Snowboard running around naked detaining horny crazies is more than reason enought to own your own taser, Doyle.

Pavel Lishin, says:
Snowboard: I agree that the taser is often overused, but we don't really know what the guy did when the police approached. For all we know, he started hooting and throwing rocks at the police officers.
If he was just standing around naked, but uncooperative like Ghandi, they should have manned up and just grabbed him, of course.

Collin, guessing that Pavel was referencing the ol' <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_for_an_eye">"eye for an eye"</a> thinking.

Maybe the person who should have been tazed is the Travis County judge who let him loose on the streets.
https://records.txdps.state.tx.us/DPS... Here's his info from the TXDPS Offender database. not much there, but doesn't look like he served time for the prior offense.

I'm just thinking... let's play a word association game. I'll say a phrase like:
"A six foot tall naked man in public that just fondled a four year old"
and if the first word that comes to your mind is
"harmless"
then we're done.
