Fort Worth frisbee players may lose Kimbell green space

Frisbee players vs. art -- the eternal struggle.

Frisbee players vs. art -- the eternal struggle.

Ultimate Frisbee players, who you would think are normally a laid-back bunch, are up in arms that the Kimbell Art Museum may be building an extension on a lawn that they've been accustomed to using for their frivolity. Any new addition won't be entirely the choice of the Kimbell as the city of Fort Worth actually owns the land, but that doesn't stop the players from making such grand statements as "Nothing has ever been put on this lawn, to preserve the aesthetics of the Kimbell’s architecture" and the lawn is "like our National Mall."

"Like our National Mall". If it's not YOUR lawn or yard, or a public park, why are you on it anyway? But it's not, It's a museum where they spend money maintaining the manicured look of their expo. Why do kids feel they have the right to go where they please?

It is OUR lawn - every taxpayer has a right to relax on that land that is owned by the city of Fort Worth (aka you and me).

People have been using this beautiful landscape to relax and enjoy life for decades now. Maybe you should try enjoying it instead of b*tching about people trying to have a good time on public property.
