Carroll Theatre announces early registration for Musical Audition Workshop
The Carroll Theatre Department has announced the dates for the upcoming Musical Audition Workshops for both vocal and choreography audition preparation. The vocal audition workshop, taught by private voice instructor Lou Ann Fisher, will take place on Monday, September 15 - Wednesday, September 17 from 3:50 - 6:50 p.m. in the CSHS Fine Arts Wing. Cost for the workshop is $80.00 and will include sheet music plus a digital CD recording of all musical audition cuts that will be handed out during the clinic.
The choreography workshop dates are Thursday, September 18 - Friday, September 19 from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday, September 20 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. The dance workshop will be taught by former Carroll Theatre alum, three-time Betty Buckley Award winner, New York actor and The Phantom of the Opera choreographer, Jeremy Dumont. Mr. Dumont's workshop will teach the dance combination for the musical auditions, but will also focus on choreography for an exciting new number for this year's Haunted House along with Musical Theatre Dance training. Cost for the workshop is $125.00.
Early Registration will be Tuesday, August 19 From 1-3 p.m. in the CSHS Green Room behind the Auditorium in the Fine Arts Wing. Students will need to bring two separate checks to pay for the workshops individually. The Carroll Theatre Department will make its official announcement of the 2008 - 2009 Haunted House and Musical during the week of August 18 - 22.
