The GVI cameras, deployed through a full wireless network IP solution, were selected by the Colombia Ministerio del Interior through an open bidding process for the largest public surveillance project in the Andean region. The vitally important National Security project encompasses twelve cities, including Bogotá, the capital and largest city in Colombia.
“GVI’s extensive track record in Latin America for providing the highest quality, most reliable, video surveillance products to the commercial and government markets make our cameras a natural choice for this major National Security surveillance project in Colombia,” said Fernando Tomasiello, GVI Senior Vice President Int'l Operations and Sales. “Our extensive sales, service and technical support operations combined with our network of leading systems integrators throughout Latin America provide the infrastructure necessary to support the largest projects in the region.”
“This National Security project showcases our ability to drive growth in very large enterprise level projects in Latin America,” said GVI Chairman and CEO Steven Walin. “Throughout the Latin American region, our teams have been winning the leading projects, not only in our strong banking, retail and schools market verticals, but also in the largest enterprise level government projects including borders, ports, and major National Security surveillance projects.”
