Dallas attorney Angel Reyes wins DiversityFIRST award
DALLAS The Texas Diversity Council is recognizing Dallas attorney Angel Reyes for his commitment to promoting diversity through his legal work and civic involvement.
Mr. Reyes, managing partner in the law firm Heygood, Orr, Reyes, Pearson & Bartolomei, will receive the council’s prestigious DiversityFIRST award at the organization’s 2008 Best Practices and DiversityFIRST Awards Luncheon.
Established in 2004, the DiversityFIRST award recognizes individuals, businesses and community groups for promoting diversity, inclusion, cultural understanding and civil and human rights.
“This award is very close to my heart and is a tremendous honor,” Mr. Reyes says. “The Texas Diversity Council does important work promoting diversity issues. It’s humbling and a great privilege to be singled out for this award.”
Outside his law practice, Mr. Reyes is actively involved in the community, donating his time to serve on the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority board, as well as the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Dallas Hispanic Bar Association and United Way of Dallas, among many others.
