Dallas Cowboys 23, Houston Texans 22

The Dallas Cowboys finally got their act together on Friday night, at least when the starting team was on the field. All at home, no less.

Dallas started off with a bang, going up 20-10 in the first half. Though Houston would repeat their first half efforts in the second half, they failed to complete a late-game two-point conversion, giving Dallas its first preseason win thus far this year.

Coach Wade Phillips was so impressed with the play of his big names in the first half that he took most of them out for the rest of the game. Tony Romo, Marion Barber, Jason Witten, and Terrell Owens all got to rest up and "cheer" their replacements on. Romo threw 15 of 19 for 166 yards, including a 6-yard touchdown pass. Barber ran 75 yards on 13 carries.
