Buzzbrews Kitchen opens second branch on Lemmon Avenue in Dallas
Buzzbrews Kitchen opened its second branch on Lemmon Avenue in Dallas on Monday August 18, in the spot most recently occupied by the ill-fated Tradicion.
Owned by Omar Zuniga, a one-time manager at the Cafe Brazil chain, Buzzbrews stays open 24 hours and has an affordably-priced menu of sandwiches, Mexican-laced entrees, breakfast goods, and bottomless coffee; its signature item is a potato dish called "garlic marbles" (which has another key ingredient whose identity can probably be guessed by the reader).
The brisk business at the new branch is already dispelling the jinx of its location which, while not quite doomed, has had an iffy history with restaurants not equipped to stick it out through the long haul, with Tradicion the most recent to bite the dust.
"I think it's a great location to contribute to the neighborhood," Zuniga says. "We believe we'll make it. What we have is unique: good food and a friendly, casual atmosphere. And being open 24 hours will definitely impact the neighborhood in a positive way."
