Fort Worth approves more pipelines and buys an SV1 Spartan Bomb Truck

The Fort Worth City Council is meeting again on Tuesday, this time in the a.m. (Again. Sheesh, it's like they have these things every week or something.) Highlights from the agenda are as follows:

  • The meeting will start with a consideration of a High Impact Gas Well Pad Site Permit requested by, you guessed it, Chesapeake Energy. The site is right by Carter Park, and the public hearing will include a report by city staff, citizen presentations and then council action.
  • This week the city is approving the funds to buy a microscope (and accessories - we love accessories) for the Police Department Crime Lab Forensics Unit, an SV1 Spartan Bomb Truck for the fire department (wow, a bomb truck!), and more radar guns for FWPD so watch your speed.
  • As far as contracts being awarded, they will be authorizing a public right-of-way use agreement for a gas pipeline to cross multiple streets just south of Northeast Loop 820 and another across Ten Mile Bridge Road located West of its intersection with Boat Club Road. The pipelines and placement thereof have been quite the hot button issue lately.

Everything else is pretty much business as usual, you know running a city and whatnot. Until next week...

Don't look for a News story on Google Images and you'll find less horrifying stuff to look at. Sheesh, learn to use the web!

Collin, you and I have way different standards on what's freaky and what's arousing.

Sorry, Greg, I google <a href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&amp;q=%22SV1+Spartan+Bomb+Truck%22&amp;btnG=Google+Search&amp;aq=f&amp;oq=">"SV1 Spartan Bomb Truck"</a> and all I get are links to this article, not the pictures of the truck he was looking for. Care to enlighten us?

Here's the image he's talking about; I've gone ahead and blacked-out every area that might be offensive to the public at large.

<img alt="Coincidentally, the black areas are also the parts I find arousing." src="http://uploads.postfarm.net/public/postfarm/uploads-2.0/n/naughtybombtruck.jpg">
