Less hellish parking plan in the works for University Park’s Snider Plaza

Sweet mother of commerce.

Sweet mother of commerce.

As all Dallas shoppers are no doubt aware, the parking in and around Snider Plaza is a bit of a pain, due in large part to the sheer lack of it. University Park put together a task force to investigate the situation and come up with recommendations. Among them include requiring new businesses to increase their allotted parking spaces, enforcing the two-hour time limit, and disallowing drive-through businesses (not sure why including more businesses that would make you park your car in a congested parking lot helps, but sure).

The committee may also recommend building a parking garage in the surrounding areas as part of a master parking plan.

How about adding to the list not ticketing people on scooters who park in otherwise unusable spaces?

I, um, heard they do that.

Anything they can do to make it easier for me to get into Kuby's will be appreciated.

"requiring new businesses to increase their allotted parking spaces"

I guess the new businesses can just magically come up with new parking spaces, right?

I thought the problem here was that UP and the existing businesses have shot down every plan that would have helped the problem.
