Tarrant County College South Campus reveals 2008-2009 theatre season

The Tarrant County College South Campus is the home to The Carillon Theatre, which has the longest history of any theatre in the Tarrant County College District. The drama program at this college has just announced what the students will be performing over the next 2 semesters. All shows start at 7:30 p.m. and tickets range from free for TCC students/faculty to $6 for the general public:

  • We The People: The Language of Politics and War in America from October 2-4. A student produced performance for this election year. Directed by Lindy Benton-Muller.
  • Two Rooms by Lee Blessing, from November 20-22. An American teacher is held hostage in Beirut while his wife struggles back in the U.S. Directed by Jason Morgan.
  • Medea & Louise: A look at Friends, "Frenemies" and Messages from the Media from February 26 - 28. Women’s History Month Presentation. Directed by Lindy Benton-Muller.
  • As You Like It by William Shakespeare & Edited by Jason Morgan, from April 23 - 25. Rosalind, the daughter of a banished duke falls in love with Orlando the disinherited son of one of the duke's friends. When she is banished from the court by her usurping uncle, Duke Frederick , Rosalind takes on the appearance of a boy calling herself Ganymede. She travels with her cousin Celia and the jester Touchstone to the Forest of Arden, where her father and his friends live in exile. Directed by Jason Morgan.
