DALLAS Tyler Technologies, Inc. announced today that the City of South Gate, California has purchased Tyler’s integrated financial management solution. “Tyler’s financial management solution is an excellent match for the City of South Gate’s needs. Our software products have a strong presence in California. Consequently, we have the experience and knowledge necessary to enable our public sector clients to operate with greater efficiency, while meeting state reporting mandates,” explained Jeff Green, president of Tyler’s EDEN Financial Management Solutions.
Under the agreement, the city has also purchased Human Resources, Payroll, Position Budgeting and Applicant Tracking applications to optimize the management of its human resource data. It has chosen Utility Billing and Parcel Manager as well.
Julia James, finance director for South Gate, said the City is excited to implement a new system. “South Gate’s current ERP system does not meet our needs. When making our decision, we consulted neighboring cities that have implemented Tyler’s solution. What we discovered is that Tyler’s financial management system has a solid reputation — something that was important to us during the selection process. We look forward to enhancing operations through implementation of the system.”
South Gate is located in Los Angeles County, 12 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles. The city covers 7.5 square miles and is home to approximately 102,300 residents.
