According to a recent blog post by Jackopierce, their latest album, Promise of Summer, is currently ready and up for grabs here, despite the previously stated release date of September 9. It seems legit. None of the "order now, we'll send in three weeks" type of thing. In fact, they're offering special pricing so you get deals as you buy more copies. For instance, if you buy 50 copies, you'll save $300!
The duo (Jack O'Neill and Cary Pierce) has a slew of CD releases planned, the first at New York City's HighLine Ballroom on September 26. According to the tour calendar, however, the local boys won't have a local release until November, when they play a two-night stint at the House of Blues.
It's a nice change of pace when albums are released earlier than anticipated, since they're more often pushed back further and further into oblivion. Now I guess it's just a question of who out there has actually been anticipating this album?

We old people have been anticipating it! Saw Cary Pierce a few months ago at House of Blues. He was great, brought the whole family, had his little son introduce him. He's extremely energetic and engaging. I have a couple of Jackopierce CDs but have never seen them perform together.
C'mon now, don't mock. We're the crowd not going to see the AC/DC and Van Halen tribute bands this weekend.
