Second Thought Theatre has been proving their place in the DFW theater community with their top-notch shows, and they are about to launch only their 5th season this week. Collected Stories will run from August 28 - September 13 in Addison and you can call 972-450-6232 to purchase tickets.

This insightful look at the relationship between teacher and student revolves around Ruth, a famous aging author, and her quirky protégé, the tenacious Lisa. As Lisa flourishes under Ruth’s tutelage, we see a wedge begin to work its way between the women. Collected Stories brings the issue of artistic license into sharp focus, and begs an answer to the question of mimicry vs. homage. Sweet, sad, and terrifically honest, Donald Margulies’ work will leave you wondering who has won, and who you were rooting for, when the dust begins to settle.

The production will be directed by new STT Ensemble Member Jocelyn Wiebe and will feature 2 talented Dallas actors Pam Dougherty and Allison Tolman. The Design Team includes Stew Awalt, Tasia Munoz, Drew Wall, Jason Driggers and Nathan Evinger with Traci Kaplan Stage Managing.
