Tailgating to be restricted at Cowboys games

This sight should be a thing of the past if the Cowboys have their way.

This sight should be a thing of the past if the Cowboys have their way.

In what they say is an effort keep the parking lots safe and to open up more spaces, the Dallas Cowboys are enforcing strict tailgating rules in the eight blue lots surrounding Texas Stadium. Fans can only tailgate in spots on the perimeter of the lots and must not use more than one spot (i.e. no setting up tents next to your car or in the right-of-way). Some users of the $53-per-game(!) lot complain that it's just another attempt by Jerry Jones to gouge them for more money.

Those willing to walk farther (and presumably pay less money) and park in the green, gold, and red lots will have no such restrictions.
