Hamilton's root canal issues were nothing compared to the pain of the Rangers' third straight loss.

Hamilton's root canal issues were nothing compared to the pain of the Rangers' third straight loss.

The almost-Ranger Torii Hunter grabbed another home run in Los Angeles' win on Saturday at Angel Stadium. The Rangers went up one run and held LA scoreless in the first four innings, but the fifth inning saw Texas' lead slip, as the Angels grabbed two runs.

The first Angels score was a controversial one, in which Hunter slid into home as Texas catcher Gerald Laird received a throw and attempted to tag Hunter. Both Laird and Hunter thought he missed the base as he slid by, as they both scrambled to recover. The umpire ruled that Hunter's first attempt was a touch, giving the Angels the score. As Laird was arguing with the umpire, Mike Napoli rounded to third base, set himself in scoring position.

The Rangers would regain their lead at 3-2, but two Angelic runs in the sixth would the last scores in the game. This is the Rangers third loss in a row.

Center fielder Josh Hamilton left the game after four innings due to pain from a recent root canal.
