Halliburton moves data center from Houston to Dallas
Halliburton Co is moving its information technology operation to Dallas -- specifically to a Dallas-area data center run by Houston-based CyrusOne Networks. And that's about all they'll say about it. No word on whether the employees will be transferred or laid off or what. The company spokeswoman was quoted as saying, "We don’t have people available to comment on this topic."

Basically when H-town they got hit by the huricane a few months back, it got alot of oil/natural gas companies thinking about their IT backup/redundancy solutions, including my wifes company, whos network pipe had to be rerouter via a slower connection, which caused a whole lotta headaches and issues. Im guessing this is only the beginning.

Sounds like common sense to me. You think people would have thought about this before. Sounds good for Dallas though.
