DALLAS Kate Whitford and Wendy Timson, seasoned professionals in event management, sales, and restaurant operations, have joined Wolfgang Puck Catering in Dallas’ historic Union Station and Reunion Tower. Whitford will serve as Corporate Catering Sales Manager, and Timson as Social Catering Sales Manager, of the two newly renovated venues.
Whitford joins Wolfgang Puck Catering following her position as Catering Sales Manager with Levy Restaurants at the Orange County Convention Center, a position that required servicing over 75 individual clients at one time and managing up to 100 events daily. While there, she was responsible for planning detailed corporate meetings and events in over 2 million square feet of exhibit space for some of the country’s top companies and associations such as McDonalds, SAP/ASUG, Microsoft, and NBAA (National Business Aviation Association), to name a few.
Wendy Timson was formerly Catering Sales Manager for Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. There she handled numerous exclusive events including wedding receptions and brunches, corporate meetings and charity functions. Prior to working for Rosewood, Timson held various positions including Director of Catering, and Director of Conference at the American Airlines Training & Conference Center in Fort Worth, positions in Conference Management for Dolce International in Hartford, Connecticut and with Le Meridien in Dallas. She has handled corporate training programs, convention business, numerous social events and weddings. Timson is currently a member of June Weddings International, as well as the National Association of Catering Executives, and is currently serving as the Director of Membership for the Dallas Fort Worth Chapter. Timson has held her CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) certification for the past five years and has recently earned her CPCE (Certified Professional Catering Executive) certification.
