Education is Freedom, an organization that until now operated only in high schools to promote drop-out prevention and college readiness, will expand its services to Dallas ISD middle school students.

An academic pep-rally to kick off the program for middle school students will take place on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 9 a.m., at Billy E. Dade Middle School, 2801 Park Row Ave.

Thanks to a partnership with JPMorgan Chase, which will donate $750,000 for the middle school expansion, Dallas ISD students from Billy E. Dade and Thomas A. Edison Middle Schools will now have the opportunity to receive orientation from the Education is Freedom Program.

Former Indiana Colts lineman Shawn Harper will deliver motivational remarks.
